The wait is over – ‘Ye Jo Hai Zindagi’ arrives on VCD

I have been waiting for this for a long long time, and am sure I am not the only one totally in love with the old doordarshan classic “Ye Jo Hai Zindagi” starring Shafi Inamdar, Rakesh Bedi, Satish Shah and Swaroop Sampat.

Well Ye Jo Hai Zindagi finally makes it way to VCD through Shemaroo Entertainment. I have never ordered stuff through their website, so I can’t comment on their ordering process, but it’s good to know that it’s now available. So what are you waiting for?? Youtube?? You cheap bastards ;)

    Amitabh, you are not the only one in this train, I have also done much research on this show but was not able to find anything. I am actually residing in the U.S. and I have contacted few of my collegues back in Delhi to loook for this vcd and send it to me. One question though, only 1 VCD is out? where are the rest of the episodes, this one VCD only has 6 episodes.

    Hi Chet, Please note that Shemaroo India has release 4 volumes of this VCD, each consisting of 4-6 episodes. They also have recently released a DVD version with much more content. The only catch is that this is released in India and you would have to find somebody who can ferry you these formats….Chao

    Lokraj, Thanks much for the reply. Please let me know what is the exact display of the DVD and how many DVDs are out there. To be honest with you, it really doesn’t matter if I get VCD or DVD (as long as all the episodes are included; multiple VCDs or Multiple DVDs.) I just can’t wait to get this thing. again, thanks for ur response.

    I’ve owned Season 1 (24 episodes) 4 DVDs last week. I think as of now only season1 is released. Waiting for season 2. And Shemaroo have maintained decent quality. It comes with English subtitles.

    @all – Just an update, I got hold of the DVD’s last weekend from an Indian store here. It’s Season 1 spread over 4 dvd’s. Loving it :-)
